A Quiet Reflection on Progress

Every once in a while, I stop and look back—not to dwell, but to remember just how far things have come.

There was a time not too long ago when everything in my life felt like it had collapsed beyond repair. I was overwhelmed with guilt, shame, and the weight of the things I couldn’t take back. I didn’t know if I’d ever be able to feel proud of the man I saw in the mirror again.

But healing has a way of creeping in quietly—through small moments, steady work, and the people who never gave up on you.

These past few months, I’ve had the chance to reflect on the journey in ways I never expected. I’ve shared pieces of my story through writing. I’ve spoken about hard lessons and the growth that followed. And through all of it, I’ve tried to stay grounded in what really matters: being present, being accountable, and being useful to someone else.

I started The Artemis Council to help support children who’ve experienced the same kind of chaos mine did. It’s deeply personal, and it’s something I’m incredibly proud of. Not because it erases the past, but because it gives it meaning.

I’m not looking for praise. I’m not trying to prove anything. I’m just trying to live differently—on purpose.

If you’ve been following along, thank you. If you’ve just arrived, welcome. There’s more to come.
